My Ideal Home

What does your ideal home look like?

If I could have my own house instead of an apartment, it would be uniquely mine.

I’ve always dreamt of having an older styled home.

I would need to be rich to have my dream home.

It would be two floors with mahogany framework, doors and staircase leading to the second floor.

The main floor would include a library with built in mahogany shelving, with an adjoining room to work on my stamps. A large kitchen that is completely accessible. A large laundry room completely accessible at my level using a wheelchair as well as fold down tables at the height accessible for my PSWs. A large sitting room with wing back chairs and a separate comfortable tv room with chairs and a couch. Both rooms would also as have open space to accommodate my wheelchair as well as those of my friends.

The second floor would include three large bedrooms with old styled wide mahogany doors and fully accessible “walk-in” closet. Each bedroom would have its own accessible washroom including a wheel-in shower, an accessible bathtub, marble topped vanities and a built in towel closet.

The basement would house the furnace, water heater, etc.

I would have two separate elevators installed, in case one needed repaired so I could always have full access to every room and floor of my home.

Every door to every bedroom and bathroom would be automated to open with a click of a button.

There would be a terrace overlooking a large backyard that would be fully accessible.

The backyard would have accessible pathways and a water fountain.

The front entrance would have a large lawn with beautiful flowerbeds. An accessible pathway to the front mahogany door that would be accessible by both a click of a button as well as a backup system that would be accessible through some type of electronic ID programmed to allow access via a touch of the finger.

The outside of the house would be beautifully bricked.

This would be my ideal dream home.
