My biggest challenge for the next year will be training Bobby to be a Service Dog.
Oh, he’s a smart little guy. I’ve only had him for one week but the things he has learnt in that time amaze me.
He challenges me to learn new things to teach him.
He’s becoming really good at responding to basic commands.
He loves his puzzle food bowls and he has already mastered the puppy spin bowl. He has another puzzle bowl that he is successful almost every meal. It’s more advanced and this little guy is good at it.
He wakes up, waits for me to get ready to go outside and then runs to my chair to get his leash on to go outside.
People are honestly astonished when they see how much he’s learnt in one week.
How training is just starting and it will be expensive to pay for trainer fees and everything I need to get him certified.
My time I spend with him is such a joy.
This is week 2 so Mummy needs to up her game to practice new, exciting things with him
He already responds to “paw” to ask for things.
It’s exhausting and I’m sure it would be easier if I was not disabled but I keep my eye on the future and all the things he’ll be able to help me to do. So for now, my energy goes into training him and then after he’s learnt his skills, I’ll be able to proudly relax, rest my weary body and let him do his job.
