Helping Others

I have found that one of the things that gives me great joy, peace and fulfillment is helping others.

Although I may not be able to help others physically, I am able to talk to them.

I can listen to them. They can trust me to open up about things that are important to them. Things that are causing them pain.

I have the skills to help them find peace in their lives. To help them move forward from grief, trauma, pain, depression and so much more.

I know how these issues have affected me in the past and continue to affect me to some degree. I have a toolbox filled with skills to move forward.

Bit by bit. Step by step.

I have mentioned my desire to return to Pastoral Counselling and I’ve spent the weekend working on my website.

I hope I can reach out to others and help them as much as I have received much needed help in my own life during the past ten years when my life was turned upside down.

http://pastoralcounselling4you.ca is my website to reach out to others.

May God lead those in need of counselling, who are unable to access the help they need, to reach out to me.

Finances are always an issue for so many people in need of counselling. Long waiting lists for free or subsidized counselling are frustrating and often lead people into severe depression. They may find themselves waiting for so long, they can often have suicidal thoughts. Sometimes they finally get in to see a counsellor, only to discover there is a fixed number of sessions and then without adequate skills to apply to their situation, they are discharged from the service.

This is not right or fair to people. There cannot be a limitation of time placed on a person’s well-being, learning to love themselves and to learn the skills they need for self-care.

I hope I can fill such a void that exists.

❤️🙏🤟🏼
