Catching Up

I took a short break from blogging to set up a plan for the upcoming year.

This past decade has been difficult with all the losses I’ve been through.

I’m a certified Pastoral Counsellor and up until my own world fell apart in 2013, I enjoyed was blessed to help others deal with their mental and spiritual health and overall well-being.

So after taking some time away from – well – pretty much everything the past two months, I’ve decided to focus my energy into starting to go back to Pastoral Counselling in the new year.

As anyone who has read my previous posts, you know I’ve spent my life advocating for disabled and marginalized people.

One area that lacks accessibility is  counselling.

As a trained Counsellor and Psychotherapist, my focus will be to provide counselling to the community that touches my heart.

Why should people be denied access to counselling services simply because they cannot afford it? These are often the most at risk individuals. The disabled and marginalized communities have lost far too many people to suicide primarily due to lack of access.

So I’ve been working hard at getting my new website put together. I’ve been taking some extra online courses from universities such as Johns Hopkins, Yale and the University of Toronto to brush up on my skills.

I want to provide the very best of me to people in need of counselling.

My education and experience include secular Counselling but primarily I prefer to do Pastoral Counselling.

All the knowledge of secular Counsellors but with God at the centre of everything I do.

🤟🏼🙏❤️
