What animals make the best/worst pets?

I had a family dog growing up for 13 years. He taught me compassion and loyalty.
As an adult I’ve had 5 dogs. Two pets and three service dogs.
The unconditional love a dog will give is beyond compare to what a human can give.
They understand your stress, anxiety, happiness, sadness and every other emotion you experience. In turn, they respond with loyal comfort. They give you space when you need it. They give hugs and snuggles when you need it and they can anticipate your needs.
A human who is willing to give their complete heart to a dog will gain everything in compassion and comfort from their dog.
Proper, loving and diligent training of a puppy by their human will blossom into a grown dog who will give their human unconditional love.
There is nothing in this world that I’ve ever experienced that is better than the love my dogs have given to me and my love for them.
