I basically grew up at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Back in the 1980s, there was a slogan at the hospital.
There’s no such thing is I can’t!
I’ve carried this phrase with me for 40 years.
If I have a goal, I let nothing stand in my way to achieve it.
I’m a fighter, an advocate for myself, which is another thing I learnt at Sick Kids.
Of course, due to my disabilities, there are some things that are simply impossible to do.
So my goals are realistic.
My goals in life have always been to attain as much education as I can. To advocate for accessibility for disabled people.
I’ve faced discrimination all my life. I have fought it and I’ve always won.
I truly believe that if someone wants something to their core of their being, nothing can stop them and they will not allow anything to stop them.
