The most expensive thing I’ve ever purchased is definitely my library.

I’ve always had a large physical library which I’ve sold some books from the purchase others. I also have a large – 20,000+ digital library. 99% of my library are religious books. Within my digital library I have copies of books in pdf that go back to the 1600s.

I have in my physical library 5 books that I cherish that were printed in the early 1800s (these are not reprints). I actually got them on ebay from someone who couldn’t read Hebrew and didn’t know anything about them so they listed them at a very low price. Back in the time that I purchased them, ebay was still quite a new thing and you could find great treasures for very little money.

I’m a bibliophile. I love books. I read hundreds every year. My books are not for decoration or to look at digital library and say “oh I’ve got so many books”. They really are a source of great joy to me.
