What’s your favorite thing about yourself?
Loving who I am
Accepting yourself as you are is one of the hardest things to do.
We often look at ourselves and see only flaws. Or, we see only accomplishments.
We need to look at everything about ourselves to love ourselves just as we are.
God made us exactly the way we are.
I love myself. My disabilities are a part of who I am. My education and accomplishments are a part of who I am.
The people in my life whom I have chosen and they have reciprocated their friendship and we call ourselves family support each other and accept each other.
Too often, people place blame on others without first looking at themselves and accepting and changing things about themselves to become better people.
I used to be a very angry person but I accepted help to learn how to deal with my emotions and how I communicate with others and that changed me for the better.
I’m not perfect, nor will I ever be perfect.
I’m just me and I love how over the past few years, I’ve evolved.
I remember the first time I said to myself “I like me.” That was the first step to learning to accept everything about myself and learning to love myself.
It is not pride to love oneself. How can we love, care about and support others appropriately if we don’t first love ourselves?
